Tristen Fuller Music
About
I am a music teacher and trumpet player located in the South Shore of Massachussetts. I have bachelors degrees in Music Education, Jazz Studies, and Classical Performance from Bridgewater State University. I have 14 years of experience playing trumpet and flugelhorn, as well as two years tutoring experience. I currently teach brass and percussion lessons after school at Rising Tide Charter Public School. I am also fairly versed in the pedagogical side of trumpet playing. In the summer of 2019, I began a research project to compile all solo trumpet repertoire into a guide for players looking to perform repertoire of all levels.
I enjoy helping people learn, as I enjoy learning myself. One of my favorite things to see is the revelation on a student's face when they finally understand a topic. I also enjoy spreading music with people, and making music both with peers and with students.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to take the first session to learn how the student learns, where they are at, and what they feel they need to work on. Then we can assess where they are at, and develop a plan of approach for the student's future lessons.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors degree with concentrations in Music Education, Jazz Studies, and Classical Trumpet performance. I was also awarded a research grant in 2019 to start work on a guide to solo trumpet repertoire, with the intent of creating a reference guide for trumpet players of all ages and skill levels.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with both adult students and younger students, from middle school to adults.
