Andy is very knowledgeable and is friendly and outgoing. Within minutes of meeting with him I was relaxed and comfortable. He answered all my questions and gave me insight and pointers on things I hadnt thought of. I would recommend him to anyone who is starting out in photography.

Andys enthusiasm and expertise make the lessons so worthwhile. I purchased my camera with travel in mind, and he bases each lesson on my goals. I like to know the why of how things work and Andy explains that in a way this novice photographer can understand and apply to my practice picture taking. We go outside the studio to take pictures, then look at them back at the studio on the computer. This hands on approach is a great way to apply and learn what worked and what did not work, and how to adjust for a better photo taking experience.

I am a beginner, so I wanted to find someone to teach me to use the different modes and features in my DSLR camera. I wanted to learn enough so I didnt have to only use Automatic Mode. Andy took the time to explain how to use Manual Mode and to understand what Exposure, ISO, aperture and shutter speeds are and how there different settings affect the photograph. He did hands-on demos with me, so I could learn how to achieve a great photo. When I told Andy that I wanted to try taking some pictures at a school basketball game, he explained how set the camera up to take action shots and adjust for the camera for the challenging lighting of a gymnasium. Andy is truly a professional and a great teacher. I would highly recommend him.

Andy is a great teacher because he is both knowledgeable and patient. He is a perfectionist about his own work and it rubs off when he demonstrates how to use the camera and how to edit photos for amazing results.
