What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to send a survery asking how much experience they have and what they need help with when it comes to photography. Next, we make an appointment for a skype lesson on in person lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BFA in photography from Temple University and have taught photography at a private high school in Massachusetts, several workshops and private lessons throughout New England. Since 2007, I have owned and operated my photography business.

How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching in 1999 when I returned home to the United States after living in Europe fr a short time. It was the next logical step in my career path and I enjoyed it immensely.
What types of students have you worked with?
All age groups and levels from elementary students to 55+ and retired.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think about what level you are starting at and what kind of help you are seeking. Be honest, everyone starts somewhere! EVERYONE is continously learning.
