Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to find out as much about the student’s goals as possible. Learning the basics is a springboard for the next step! We can explore the possibilities for accompanying singing, reading tabs (simple), fingerpicking, lead guitar (fun!), and reading music (not necessary btw).
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a professional musician playing both electric and acoustic guitar, harmonica, mandolin, ukulele, bass guitar and banjo! And I enjoy singing as well.... I took music courses at Brown University and worked for North Star Records.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $30 for a half hour lesson. Sometimes travel is additional.
