I am a passionate educator with experience in Baroque and Modern flute performance. I have over a decade of teaching experience, and have taught students of all ages and levels. I love sharing my enthusiasm for the flute with new students!

I love teaching students about the history of their instrument, the music they are learning, and helping students grow and develop. I encourage students to make their own musical choices, to follow their interests, and to explore new avenues for artistic expression.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

First, I evaluate the student's experience level, as well as their goals, interests, and availability. Then, I discuss with the student (or parent) what the student is doing well, and what areas need further attention. Finally, I outline a general plan of music, scales, and technical exercises to facilitate musical development.
