About
I have been teaching Art since 2005 and have been an artist all my life. I indulge in mixed media, painting, and drawing. I enjoy teaching young children with positive reinforcement and to create what speaks to their soul. My instructions are gentle and nurturing as I try to have each student capture the world around within their own techniques and style. Once I grasp the individual's strengths and weaknesses, I guide the student to create an art piece by giving one on one instruction. I never touch their artwork. I let the student investigate all styles and techniques they can use to complete a piece of art they are proud of.
I enjoy working with all age groups to help with each student's creative process. I encourage an individual style while guiding the budding artist with different techniques I learned along the way. It is important for me to encourage the student in order to break through any barriers of insecurities a child or adult may have on their own abilities to create a piece of art. Ultimately, the goal is to have students learn a technique, style, and understand the individual process of creating art.
