Neon Audio
About
I have over a decade of experience as an audio engineer. I now work primarily as a mix and mastering engineer in my own studio, Neon Audio. The studio is located on the banks of the Merrimack River in Lawrence, with a lovely riverview. The room is acoustically treated and outfitted with a collection of word class audio processing equipment.
I love to share my knowledge and help others learn about recording, mixing, and mastering.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will have a conversation with the student to learn what their goals are and then craft an individualized approach that is tailored to meet those goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a music minor at the George Washing University and since then have had over a decade of on-the-job experience as an audio engineer. I am also an Apple Certified Professional in Logic Pro.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Generally, I work by an hourly rate of $50 per hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I workd at a private high school in Oakland, CA for several years. I was in the tech department but often led software tutorials for digital media classes (Photoshop and Final Cut). It was here that I first found a knack and love for teaching.
What types of students have you worked with?
As mentioned, I have taught at the high school level but these days my "students" are often my clients. I often give recording advice for clients I am mixing songs for, or mixing advice for clients I am mastering for. So I find myself sharing knowledge and teaching on almost a daily basis.
