About
I received my MFA in Painting from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and BFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of New Hampshire, in addition to studying at Studio Art Centers International, in Florence, Italy.
As I professional artist, I have actively exhibited my work throughout New England and beyond. My work has been featured at Fitchburg Art Museum, Green Mountain College, Kyoto Seika University in Japan, Emory University, Northern Arizona University Art Museum, and Rogue Space Chelsea, New York. My work is currently represented by Art Galleries and Art Dealers along the East Coast, including Carrie Coleman Fine Art, The Drawing Room, Greenfield Gallery, Northern Daughters Gallery, and Michael Findlay Fine Art.
In conjunction with my professional art-making practice, I am passionate about inspiring others, teaching Art to a wide range of ages via academic institutions and art centers, most recently teaching at Green Mountain College and at River Gallery School in Brattleboro, VT since 2013. When teaching privately, I welcome students to my studio where they have access to professional art materials and supplies, or to meet them at their own studios and homes.
I am passionate about art-making and teaching, and sharing the joys of my practice and education with others.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working on-on-one with students I begin with correspondence with my student to find out what they are seeking to learn and where they are at. I teach total beginners who have never drawn and painted before, to more experienced artists looking to hone their skills. All of this involves proper communication so that I can create a curriculum and lessons that are appropriate for each student and their unique interests and skill sets.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a professional fine artist (Oil Painter) with a MFA degree in Painting from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and a BFA degree in Painting & Drawing from the University of New Hampshire. I have worked as a professional artist selling my work since 2001, and am hired by institutions and individuals to teach painting and drawing.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing is based on an hourly fee as well is if my lessons include access to materials or if student is supplying their own materials.
