Lea's Math & English Lessons
About
Patience is key when it comes to teaching. Working at the YMCA has taught me many ways to help students succeed outside of a school setting. The key is to take things slow and really give students a solid ground before moving onto a different material. My goal is to teach students in grades 3-8, which I believe are crucial years of learning before entering a high school setting.
I am a college student trying to obtain a double major in psychology and business with a minor in english writing. Having taught students in grades 3-8, I tutored students both individually and in group settings. With my simple explanations and patience, my students were able to better understand the material given to them at school , which resulted in their grades improving drastically.
