About
I understand the student's desire to gain hands on experience and enlarge their greater knowledge of art. I mix some practical how-to with some perspective on art history. Painting should be fun.
I love to share the joy of drawing and painting, and have practical experience in both teaching and doing,

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to understand the student's motivation for learning, the students expectations from the classes, and the to assess the student's natural and learned abilities. We move forward from that starting point by setting goals and then devising a path to reach those goals. Practice and experimentation with the media, constructive and critical discussion is encouraged. The student is encouraged to develop thier point of view, their style, their voice.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have decades of experience studying and practicing in the arts, centered on making art and communicating in a learning environment.
