About
I teach drawing, acrylic, and watercolor painting to small adult groups (max 4 students), therefore giving individualized teaching. I like to guide my students to discover their own creativity through teaching basic techniques. Classes are for all levels.
I enjoy guiding students to use their creativity, using this time to disconnect from the electronics. I like when the students discover what they are capable of creating.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I start teaching a new student, I assign a simple exercise to try and understand the student’s skill level. I can then adapt my teaching for the student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 9 years of experience teaching. In the last year, I have sucesfully taught private and group lessons, drawing and painting lessons, to adults and teenagers.
How did you get started teaching?
I have a teaching certificate and graduated from Creativ'Art School and Gallery in Montreal, Canada in the late 1990s. Since then, I have always wanted to teach, which is why I started my art school: Chez Claire Art School.
What types of students have you worked with?
In the past, I have worked with students of all ages. In the last year, I have taught adults in small and medium size groups (up to 20 students), although I prefer smaller groups (up to 4 or 5 students). I have also enjoyed teaching private lessons.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
This summer, I taught a one week painting class to a group of 20 children (age 10 to 14) at the Whistler House Museum of Art, Lowell, MA. The results were amazing. The children in the class followed my lead to create great paintings. It was most rewarding.
