About
My service stands out by way of the pleased students I have worked with over many years of teaching. I love to help each individual achieve their artistic goals through developing skills and self awareness. My students build their confidence and knowledge by exploring interests with my guidance and making use of the time between sessions to explore on their own.
I have a Bachelor in Fine Art in Drawing and Painting and have been teaching for over 20 years.
My mission is "Fostering Peace through Creating, Sharing & Teaching Art."

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first step a student takes before working with me is to fill out a short questionnaire so I can understand their background and artistic goals.
After that, if the student hasn't yet decided which medium to explore, we discuss and decide this. I offer: pastel, watercolor, and acrylic.
We also discuss which subject matter they prefer - landscape, abstract, floral, still life, imaginary?
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned a BFA in Drawing and Painting and have been painting and teaching full time since 2000. My studio was at the Brush Art Gallery & Studios in Lowell, MA for 14 years. In 2017 I moved my studio to my home in Lowell, MA in order to focus more on teaching, painting and travel.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I offer 3, two hour private sessions and include all the materials for the first 3 lessons. Students leave their first class with a materials kit.
We typically meet once per month, providing time to do homework between lessons.
I charge $ 375 for 3 Private 2 hour sessions. (Cost of all necessary materials to start are included in this price.)
After the first 3 classes we decide how to proceed ... some students pay monthly or purchase 3 sessions at a time. Some students decide to try another medium with me.
How did you get started teaching?
I first started teaching art lessons in answer to requests from visitors to my art studio in 2004. Additionally, in 2009 I developed the Elder Art Initiative Program, a teaching service that provides art programming to seniors in assisted living and nursing home communites.
