About

I have been teaching tennis and life coaching for over 25 years. I work with children and adults of all ages. I am certified by the U. S. Professional Tennis Association and I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I am willing to travel to your area to work with you.

I come from a family of teachers. I've always enjoyed helping people in some way. Not only do I like passing on a skill they can use for the rest of their lives, I also enjoy helping them to keep in shape and stay healthy.

In addition to teaching tennis, I have a counseling and life coaching background, so I can offer these services as well. I sometimes use “Activity Therapy” which incorporates a combination of activities and therapy together.

Feel free to contact me to talk about how I might be of service. 😀 Felix, USPTA, LICSW

Felix is a very experienced and knowledgeable tennis instructor. He is extremely patient and uses positive feedback to motivate his students. Felix is very easy-going and knows how to put people at ease. I would recommend him highly.

    Frequently asked questions

I ask them some questions about their background and what their goals are now. That is, why did they seek out lessons at this time.

I have been a USPTA Certified Tennis Instructor for over 25 years. I am a Licensed Therapist as well, having graduated with  a Masters in Social Work from Simmons College in 1992.

I have been able to use my background in psychology to help students with this aspect of tennis and other sports.

I am available to coach other sports as well including basketball, baseball, volleyball, football, soccer, and others.

    I negotiate a fee based on a person's income.

I answered an advertisement in the Boston Globe after graduating from Clark University in 1983.

All kinds, from beginners who have never played before, to advanced players who are playing competitively.

I began talking about an injury that I shared in common with another player. That led to a discussion about how it might be possible to return to playing tennis or another sport.

Prepare a list of questions to ask before you meet with them or talking over the phone.
