About
Hello!
I have been playing and performing as a bassist, guitarist, and singer for 15 years. I fell in love with music through songwriting and performing. But through the years I have performed with many different kinds of groups. I specialize in folk, pop, country, funk, and blues. I also offer advanced instruction in jazz guitar. I take a personalized approach to each student. My goal is to help them learn the kind of music they love while gaining an understanding of music theory that can empower them to play by ear, improvise, and even write their own music!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
If the student is a beginner, my main goal is to help them get over the initial hump of learning to hold down the frets and learn the rhythm of strumming. I also like to find out what inspired them to learn guitar and what kind of music they enjoy.
for someone who already has a bit of experience, I want to assess their skill level then give them exercises and songs to practice that will stretch their abilities. I also like to try and expose them to music and guitarists that will inspire them!
