About
I have been teaching double bass and bass guitar for over 30 years. In that time I have prepared middle & high school age students for age appropriate orchestras and jazz bands and have developed an easily understandable method of teaching music theory. Motivated students have joined elite student orchestras and jazz bands in the Boston and Metro West area. Students been accepted to college level music programs at New England Conservatory, Indiana U., McGill U., Berklee Coillege of Music, North Texas State U. and others This year two of his students placed one/two in the All State Jazz Band auditions and the second place finisher went on to join the All State Orchestra.
I teach at both my home in Watertown and make house calls throughout Boston and the Metrowest area.
My performance experience includes working with luminaries such as Itzhak Perlman, Joel Grey, Eartha Kitt as well as well known local semi pro orchestras and jazz, bluegrass and R&B artists.
