Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I would discuss what the athlete wants to accomplish in his or hers short, as well as their long term goals. Then create a specific program to work on the athlete's weaknesses and play on the athlete's strengths to meet those goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 20 years of coaching and sports training experience. I have worked with athletes from elementary level to the college level.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $60 per hour plus travel outside my local area. Or to use our facilities can range from $25-$45 depending on the sport to reserve court or cage time.
How did you get started teaching?
I started after college because I couldn't part ways with the sport and have been doing it ever since.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with athletes at every level. From the elite athlete to the novice athlete from elementary to high school to college.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Everyone is different so my advice would depend on the athlete and their goals.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I feel that communication is very important in sports therefore whatever questions the athlete may have in their mind I want to hear. My answer is be open and honest there are no wrong questions.
