Melody Giron, Cello Lessons
About
Dedicated to teaching and pedagogy, I completed the two-year Suzuki Teacher Training program at The School for Strings in New York under the tutelage of Pamela Devenport. Having grown up learning with traditional method, I value the importance of a teaching curriculum that emphasizes a strong technical foundation that includes note reading, rhythm counting skills, and singing/ear training. My students begin to learn and study these skills at the age of five, this is when students typically begin to learn to read in school. I have created a curriculum that combines my Suzuki pedagogy training with traditional method.
With over ten years of teaching experience in group class settings as well as privately, I have discovered a strong connection and love for starting students ages 3 and up. However, my studio ranges from age three through advanced high school students as well as committed adults who want to enrich their lives with music.
