My teaching approach: My lessons are tailored to meet the needs and goals of each individual student. My influences are: Mainly classic rock but I teach a wide range of material and will teach a student any song they would like to learn. My guitar lessons take place in: The student's home or online via Skype or Zoom. Guitar lessons typically take place on these days and hours: Mon Tue Wed Thur 3-8pm and some Saturday lessons. Earlier times can also be arranged for adult students. Guitar Techniques: Lead guitar, Rhythm guitar, Open tuning, Fingerstyle, Improvisation, Jamming Skills, Reading Music, Music Theory, Scales and Exercises, Guidance In Equipment Selection Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following: I will typically start the student off with a finger exercise along with some very basic simplified chords. A guitar lesson with me might entail the following: It varies from one student to another but would typically consist of some note reading along with chord exercises. As students develop with their playing I may introduce soloing and improvisation along with learning basic songs, gradually getting more advanced. The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following: I enjoy teaching students that have a true passion for the guitar and music.
