About
I have launched many musicians who play their favorite songs with friends, play in local bands, and got accepted into local Academies.
I am a real teacher. I have worked as a counselor for 15 years, and as a teacher's aide for 3 years.
I have performed in many different styles; solo acoustic, country, blues, r&b, classic rock, and swing jazz.
I focus on the simplicity in giving the student what they need to play something and understand it, and don't give them what they don't need. I like to see what is the next step for a student in their development and see them light up when they get it going.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Get acquainted, ask them what kind of music they like, ask them what musicians they like, play together for a few minutes, ask them some questions about music theory to see what they know, ask them if they play with friends or have played in bands. Ask them what are their goals, play with friends, playing weekend bands, go full-time Pro, develop their unique sound. I tell them I have a system that works, that I have launched many musicians who play in bands, and if they work a regular practice routine they will progress steadily and have lots of fun with music. Also some jokes to see how playful they are establish that playing music is fun.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have studied with private teachers, some well known. I first started do with the Michael Josefs to learn correct technique and music theory. I studied with Glenn shambroom on blues, country and roots music. I also studied with Billy Coover of the Memphis rockabilly band to advance in several different areas. I was with each of these for about 1 year.
I have also learned from instructional dvds and Friends.
