Hi, My name is Mala Chatterjee and I have been teaching Communication skills and Public Speaking for the past 30 years.
People from all walks of life have trained and benefitted. Senior VPs and Managers of multinationals, engineers and doctors, entrepreneurs and students poised to take off in their respective careers have been my trainees.
I believe that if both the teacher and the learner take one step forward, they can go beyond the expected achievement.
My expertise stands out because of my wide range of interactive experience; more than a 60,000 learners in over 30 years. This large volume has helped me to be insightful and perceptive, sensitive to each student's individual needs and help them overcome challenges and draw out the most reticent of speakers.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Learning involves individual processes. Depending on the student's requirement the process is established. My teaching is learner centric with the teacher as the facilitator and coach. Learner activity is highlighted and organised with feedback.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am atd designated Master Trainer. I also have a certification from atd in Creating Leadership in organizations. I specialize in teaching Public Speaking and have over 600 5* reviews on various platforms. I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching English, with Phonetics, Methods of teaching English and Usage of English as some of my papers.
A Master's in English Literature, my special paper was Linguistics.

How did you get started teaching?
In 1990, I joined as Lecturer in English in Hyderabad, India. Before long, I had turned entrepreneur with my own training company, Trainwell Consultants. I believe that Public Speaking is important in every aspect of life and that I can contribute to learning and enriching professional lives.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students who know just a smattering of English, who speak and write grammatically incorrect English to Corporate honchos who look at bettering their communication, verbal and written.
I have worked with people low in confidence and Presentation Skills and have seen them blossom into confident Public Speakers.Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I teach Public Speaking and Communication Skills on various platforms and receive rave reviews. I am extremely passionate about and fond of my work and bring warmth and energy to my virtual classroom.
My learners' enthusiasm and keenness to learn are infectious.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
One should look for a teacher who has communicative competence, one who is patient with students' errors and has the ability to listen to learner needs and facilitate accordingly.
