Tutoring By Courtney

I am a private tutor dedicated to the fields of Math, Science and Test Preparation in the Howard County/Greater Baltimore Area. I have over a decade of experience in tutoring and teaching for middle school, high school and college courses. My experience extends through various levels (G/T, AP, Honors, Special Needs, Adult Education).

I am a Maryland Certified Teacher in the field of Secondary Science, graduating with a 4.00 GPA in my Masters in Teaching program from Towson University. I have taught the courses of Biology, Anatomy/Physiology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Physical Science in the classroom. I also taught the math courses of Algebra, Pre-Algebra, and Trigonometry.

My passion is academia and I love working with students. I customize all of my lessons to each individual student and I strive to make each session as engaging as possible. My love of education, science and math stems from my scholastic experiences.

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Notre Dame as a Biology major and tutored undergraduate chemistry throughout my college career. I also attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine and received top honors in Microbiology, Host Defenses and Infectious Diseases. I am also a proud Alum of River Hill, a Howard County School, and a long-time resident of Howard County, so I am very familiar with the local county and state curricula.
