About
I teach flute lessons in the heart of Mount Vernon, just a few blocks away from the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, Maryland. Last summer I served as Flute Faculty at Camp Encore/Coda in Sweden, ME, where I taught flute lessons, lead repertoire and technique masterclasses, coached chamber music ensembles, and taught musicianship. I have also served as a Secondary lessons teacher at Oberlin College for two years, responsible for teaching flute to undergraduate non-majors, and held the position of Teaching Assistant at the Oberlin Flute Academy for two summers.
I love working with all types of students, whether they’re preparing for college auditions, just beginning the flute, or only looking to play for fun, and I also have experience with students with special needs. Please contact me through this website if you would like lessons, and I will respond within a day!
I have received many first place awards in competitions, including the National Society of Arts and Letters Woodwind Competition in Washington, DC, the Best Mozart Performance category of the global Great Composer Competition Series, 2014 Central Ohio Flute Association Young Artist Competition, and the 2013 Rochester Flute Association Emerging Artist Competition. I also perform frequently throughout the Baltimore and DC area as a soloist and with my duo, 2nd Ceremony.
