Whitaker's Mill Fine Art & Fiber Art

First I find out where the student is in his or her art education. Then I explore themes or subjects that the student wants to paint. All work is done from life or photographs so I can see what the student sees and help to capture the image in paint.

I am interested in helping you develope your own "style" which will present itself as lessons progress.

I hold a BFA from the Pillidelphia College of Arts which was renamed The Philidelphia University of The Arts. I have 25 years teaching experience in private schools, after school arts in local schools as well as private lessons, homeschool groups and adult workshops.

I come to students' home for private lessons. Each lesson is $43.00

Students pay for 4 weeks in advance at a time.

With 24 hours notice of an absence students can reschedule the missed session for a different day and time.

I actually began teaching when I was a child in 4H. Learning about an art medium and then teaching it gives me such a wonderful sense of pride.

To inspire others is amazing to be inspired by my students is invaluable! 

I have experience teaching all ages and abilities.

Knowledge of different types of painting products is really key in am painting instructor. I am a big believer in using the type of paint neccessry to achieve the desired "effect". Knowing how to maipute different mediums is key.
