What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a student, we strive to first accomplish the understanding that mother nature is the true artist. Through its simplicity, we can understand our surroundings and ourselves better therefore making our works of art true and beautiful to ourselves and others. It is important to understand that rules and techniques exist, however the main soul resides in hard work and good ideas Through simple building steps in which beauty can be archived.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Growing up in Brazil I spent over six years studying drawing and painting as well as digital media and sculpture with the great Maestro Roberto Luis de Sá, I was also formally trained at the great Rocha Mendez Academy on fine arts and makes media. More recently I have studying at the Delaware College of Art and design, As well as studied and lectured as a teaching assistant & guest professor at the Maryland institute & College of Art.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I believe in consistent three hour blocks of classes with a 20 minute break anytime in between. I found out throughout the years is the best way to learn a craft. My pricing system consists of $160 per 3 hour blocks, $300 for 6 hour blocks and $500 for a full day 9am-6pm with one hour lunch break
How did you get started teaching?
I start teaching in 2013 when I was offered a resident teaching assistant position at the Maryland Institute College of Art for a Drawing studio class with Michelle La Pierre, as well as an advanced studio art history class with Joan Watson.
