About
I am a practicing visual artist, art educator, and photographer. I currently hold a Master of Arts in Teaching and Bachelors of Fine Art in Photography from Maryland Institute College of Art.
I am certified to teach visual arts in the state of Maryland
I have experience working as a para-educator and with the special needs population. I have taught visual art to children ranging from pre-school to 12th grade in Montgomery County, Baltimore City, and Washington, DC since 2010.

Get to know a students personal intersts and how they can be applied to their own artwork. Learn from students what their personal goals are.

How did you get started teaching?
I began volunteering at my neighborhood elementary school's after school program for community service when I was 15. In college, I chose to complete a dual degree in the fine arts and teaching field so I could share my passion of arts with others and explore new avenues of self-expression.

I have taught in Montgomery County Maryland, DC Public Schools, Baltimore City Public Schools.
Pre-school through 12th grade.
Students with special needs and learning differences.
At risk youth.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A group of friends and I recently threw a community block party in Baltimore City where we had visual art, DJs, and food free to the neighborhood on the 4th of July. I designed and painted a 16 foot banner for the event and coordinated the visual art aspects.
