I personalize the lesson for each student. It will depend on the skill level and what they hope to accomplish. Encouraging the artist is a large part.

All of my students have improved greatly. It just takes practice, patience and instruction.

I love seeing my student's improve. Its very rewarding to me.

I started taking drawing and painting lessons with Kim. She is a dedicated and knowledgeable ART teacher. She was very flexible and accommodated missed classes according to my needs. She provides information on each topic we see in class.
I highly recommend her for art students of any level.

I have been taking drawing lessons with Kimberly for 5 months. She has a direct approach, yet patient. She is encouraging and thorough. I have noticed a significant difference in my drawing ability. She gives awesome feedback that is helpful. I recommend anyone looking for a teacher to give her a shot. She is kind and versed in an array of mediums.

She is very encouraging, seems to respect me as a student, and keeps the drawing lessons moving to new, but not too advanced challenges.

Ive wanted to try my hand at painting for some time now. My friend Kim offered some pointers to get me started. She is very patient and creatively gave ideas to point me in the direction I was hoping for. I highly recommend her as she has encouraged me so much in my painting possibilities.

    Frequently asked questions

I ask to see samples of their art and ask them what they are hoping to learn.  I then set up a lesson plan to match their level and desires for growth.

Practicing art all my life.  I am an experienced painter, muralist, sketch artist, portrait artist, landscape artist, etc.

Lessons for one hour are $30

    Zoom lesson is $25

I found this site on facebook and filled it out.

I started teaching over one year ago and found that I really love it and am good at it.  All of my students have improved in their artistic abilities.

All ages from 25 to 75.  All levels of expertise but mostly beginners.  I will also start teaching a 10 year old next week.

Visiting the Smithsonean Museum of Art

I am very creative and intuitive so can spot areas of strength and weakness in my student's art.  This helps me to better instruct them.

What type of art are you interested in?  I am a realistic drawer and paint semi-impressionistic.  If you are looking to do caricatures or abstract art, I wouldn't be the right teacher.
