About
I have the unique experience of working in many types of photography. I taught photography at Boys Latin, I did stock photography when living abroad in Paris. I have done wedding and event photography. I did editorial work at the Baltimore City Paper. I do black and white portraits. I have regular gallery exposure.
I love capturing the mood on the subject’s face and the light in the image. It brings me joy.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Hit the ground running. Shoot. Talk. Shoot. Edit. Talk some more. Work on a student’s natural timidity to approach potential subjects.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied under John Weiss at University of Delaware. John’s main teacher was Minor White, a giant of 20th century photography.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
30$ an hour. Less if more time booked.
How did you get started teaching?
I first taught photography at Boys’ Latin in 2006. Anne Kellerman, the head of the upper school brought me on as an afterschool photo seminar teacher.
