II have beenb fortunate enough to have experience working with tens of thousands of youth baseball players.
I was the provider of the official youth baseball camps of the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Washington Nationals, Chicago Cubs, and Atlanta Braves.
I played and coached at Amherst College, earning MVP honors as a two-year captain.
I had the honor of working in Major League Baseball with the Boston Red Sox and the Cleveland Indians as a scout in the Front Office of their respective Organizations.
Latly, I am the Chief Strategy Officer and on the Board of Showball Baseball (www.showballbaseball.com), the nation's #1 showcase camp and platform to help high school student-atheletes gain exposure in front of college coaches.
Lastly, I host the podcast for coaches, parents and student-athletes: Who Are You: The Life Lessons of Sports (availabe on iTunes/Podcasts App or any other podcast app). If you want to learn more about a team I have coached / am coaching please view my team goals and philosophy here:

My number goal one when working with any youth player is to: a) build a strong and trustworthy relationship, and b) build proper mechanics, strong muscle memory, a positive and clear mind, and a most importantly a healthy body (arm - especially in baseball!). c) Ensure that the player is enjoy himself and becomes a student of the game because he loves to play and learn. Lastly d) challenge players to utilize their abilities in a way where they are improving every day, practice, week, game, and overall, every season.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Every athlete is different. This all needs to be discussed to effectively understand both the mental and physical abilities of the student-athlete.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Beyond mechanics, I work with players to establish self-esteem, confidence, and pride for the work and effort they put forth when working with me.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
It depends on a variety of variables. This is to be discussed.
How did you get started teaching?
I played through college.
Worked in MLB.
Coached tens of thousands of kids ages 5 to 18 for over 25 years.
What types of students have you worked with?
Every level.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure the teacher is focused on the effort and mechanics more than the results. The results are a byproduct of focus, dedication, proper mechnics, and a great mindset and approach.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
All athletes should ask the coach two questions:
1. What is your philosophy on teaching (not coaching, but teaching) the game?
2. How many of your players stay in touch with you after your coaching relationship ends?
