Artworks Academy-of-Fine-Art
About
Art is my passion. My years of experience, education and teaching, have led me to create Artworks Academy-of-Fine-Art, a school specializing in teaching the artist how to create and be confident creating. I specialize in Watercolor but I like to mix it up. I like to teach. All of this in my classes giving my students the tools and experience to explore with their new knowledge. I have been involved in art in some form since the 70’s.
I live in Greenbelt MD near the Gateway Arts District of Hyattsville MD. I belong to the Hyattsville Community Arts Allince and the Washington Metropoitan Watercolor Society. I have shown in many shows and have participated in ongoing venues in the area. I love to vend with my my fellow artists in some of the area Art Festivals.
I started my Art Education in the 1970’s and have not stopped. I love sharing this knowledge and waiting to see my students reactions to their works realizing art is not all about being born with a certain gift or talent. It also can be learned with practice and knowledge.
I specialize in Pen and Ink and Watercolor. I have created as ka Watrcolorist for 15 years or more with private lessons.
I am starting to learn to create abstractly with acrylic pouring and also inks. Their are many videos and instructions on how to do this. It is very fascinating.
I accept commissions: children's portraits, house portraits, animals, cityscapesandspecial landscapes.
