About
My best trait is being able to look at a style of art and break down/figure how it was done.
Although I have my own personal style, I can help my students find themselves through understanding basic principles, practice and discovery with various mediums, or i can simply help them directly develop any style at their request.
I also teach Digital media and Rug Making!
I love the process of creating of a well planned and finished masterpiece. Even more, I love to share my creations with the world, may it be through social media or maybe a local event like a pop up shop or artist gallery.
If given the chance, id like to help you hone into your artistic abilities and create pieces for you to take pride in as well!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
On our first meet up, I'd like to introduce myself and also talk to and get to know my students.
Then we'd take a good look around my studio, my paintings and portofolios, to see what ive created and then determine if im a good match to help them reach thier goals.
Or optionally a student can bring thier own art project or style to my attention and i'll determine the steps needed to create, or respectfully recreate the works.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Besides attending high school art class, I am a completely self taught artist through trail and error.
While I do not downplay institutional learning, There's a lot of optional material out there for one to learn from including, YouTube Videos, Google Searches, and Art books on the various methods of art.
As my student, after a certain amount of lessons, I will eventually grant you access to my purchased resources for self improvement. (I can give you tips and advice on how to obtain them as well.)
I have improved my skills& learned though discipline & meticulously practicing in & out whenever I've had the time too. To date I've studied classical drawing techniques, color theory, human and animal anatomy, landscape art, just to name a few.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing is determined on your curriculum. If you are serious about improving your artistry, we can determine what number of lessons you need to reach your goals.
(I am working on Programs/Curriculums for beginner and intermediate artists.)
As of now, I charge by the half hourly rate of between $25. Deposits are required 1-2 weeks in advance for tutoring.
Refunds: I must be notified of cancellation 1 week prior to our lessons!!
How did you get started teaching?
I've hosted/attended a few sip&paints and realized that I could help those who are looking into becoming more serious artist with one on one lessons.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with mature audiences as well as children.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My most recent event was Washington DC's annual "Art All Night" before covid. It was my second year attending (thanks to one of my good friends). It's a fun event & I met alot of cool people & sold alot of art pieces.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
When looking for a teacher the best thing to do is make sure they fit your artistic goals and also your skill level.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Serious Students should take the time to find styles of art that they are interested in doing and adding their own creative ideas toward! Therefor I'd be able to create a learning path to help get you up & rolling towards your specific goal!
Also Budget-wise, it's important to consider your skill level as the learning path I may create for you will take more time to complete if you don't have the basic art foundations!
Please Feel free to consult with me if you any further questions!
