Hi. My Name is Omar Cruz and In from Puerto Rico. I coaching Volleyball and Basketball for the last 20 years. I got my own Volleyball Clubs in my country and actually, I'm the Head Coach of Lady Cavaliers of Crossland High School. I work skills but also with the confidence and self-esteem of every one of my players.
I enjoy teaching. I'm a teacher for the last 27 years as Spanish Teacher and PE Teacher. I loved to see my players growing and improving their skills.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I typically like to get to know my players, what their goals are, and what they want to improve within their skills. It is also very important that you ask me all the questions you want to ask me so that you also know me
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I Coaching for the last 20 years in different leagues in Puerto Rico like Confederacion Puertorriquena de Voleibol, Liga Puertorriquena de Voleibol y Federacion de Voleibol de Puerto Rico. Also I had a certificate as aRecreative Leader from Recreation and Sports Department from Puerto Rico

I think $30 to $40 for 1 hour will be okay
How did you get started teaching?
I started on the first day. The first day helps me to observe the athlete's needs and draw up an exercise program and skill development plan
What types of students have you worked with?
I worked with every student but If I got a Latino is easier because my primary language is Spanish
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
before I came to Maryland O got my own Volleyball Club in my country named Spartans Volleyball Club. I worked with around 50 girls from 8 years to 16 in different categories. Now I coaching High School
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I believe that any student should seek the experience of their coach. I would recommend that they seek information on what that person is like and if they are really willing to help me improve my skills in sport.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I think every athlete should ask himself what I want to sacrifice to reach my goal?
What are my sporting goals?
Am I mentally and physically prepared to develop in my sport?
