Oil Painting...$50/hr...I teach private lessons to all ages and skill sets. I meet students where they are on their art journeys and help them fill the gaps in their learning. I teach oil painting using classical realism methods that have stood the test of time.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We start with the basics and find what areas you most want to work on. Then we develop a plan to address those skill sets, together. My lessons are one on one, dedicated and directed for you, by you. I share what I know and what I do.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
On my website, you will find a list of the most recent awards, my portfolio of artwork. I have been creating art full time as a professional artist since 2010, though I was a hobbyist for decades prior. You will find the galleries that represent me on my website. I teach group classes at them regularly.
I have participated in almost every aspect of my profession as an artist. I have given many art talks, painting demonstrations, workshops, classes, founded mastermind groups. I've sold my art in street fairs, veterinarian's offices, wineries, countless galleries and museums. I have judged art competitions and I have won many grand, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and honorary prizes over the years.

How did you get started teaching?
I actually started teaching because people kept approaching me and asking. I finally started saying yes, and I really enjoyed it.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students ages 10 through 80, and I have worked with beginners all the way up to professional artists. If someone has an area they would like to learn more about, and they can see from my work that I can help them, I am happy to share.
