I am an artist following my passion for painting, and love sharing that passion with students in quaility art instruction, and exhibiting in shows and galleries. I am currently finishing a series of skyscapes/landscapes, and have begun a new series focusing on water. I also include art history in my lessons, which help my students learn different styles and techniques. I specialize in portfolio development for the more serious student, but also love to teach the inexperienced from the ground up. Private and small group lessons are available.
Painting is my passion. I am in love with color, and the magic it works on canvas. I also love teaching, so it is the perfect combination of sharing my talents and abilities with my students in a fun, creative way so they learn to love art also.
Pam cares about making sure that you not only learn how to do art, but also appreciate art and art history. She has taught us so many things in such a short time. She is so encouraging and makes you want to keep creating and developing your own style based on solid art principals, techniques, composition and color theories. She is an excellent teacher who packs her lessons full of instruction, hands on training and encouragement. I highly recommend her! She is a light in the art world!
My children have taken art classes with Pamela over the course of a few years and we have been very pleased. Pamela teaches art techniques while focusing on a famous artist and putting that artist in a relevant historical context. She does this in a way that children enjoy! My children have studied such things as color theory, light and dark balance, sketching, watercolor painting, mobiles, drawing the human form, and many others. I highly recommend her as a teacher. She is always supportive of the kids' creative ideas and special talents.
After a phone interview, I design an individualized lesson plan to meet the specific needs/goals of the student, and let them decide how they would like to proceed with instruction. I provide six week series for group lessons (fall, winter, spring), and private/semi-private instruction year around. Summers will have workshops and kids' camps available.
