About

Beat4LifeCPR, based in Bethesda, MD, provides American Heart Association (AHA)–aligned CPR and first aid training across the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Founded by registered nurses and hospital-based educators Katherine Honea, RN, MSN, and Marie Newman, RN, MHSA, the team holds AHA instructor certifications and brings nearly 40 years of combined CPR teaching experience.

Courses include Family & Friends CPR; Heartsaver CPR/AED; Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers; blended-learning skills testing for AHA online coursework; and the Safe Sitter program for students in grades 6–8. Instruction covers adult, child, and infant CPR, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use, choking relief, and initial first aid.

Training is delivered in small, instructor-led groups with hands-on practice using manikins. Public classes are offered in Bethesda, Tysons Corner, and Northwest D.C., with on-site sessions available at workplaces or homes by appointment. Beat4LifeCPR is an AHA Training Site under the direction of Allied 100, LLC (AHA ID: WI 20877) and offers group rates and flexible scheduling.
