I believe that art should be a joy and not just learning a technique . I find fulfillment when students enjoy what they do and discover and apply the skills in their own way . Art is not a science it is a journey of discovery .
I love to work with students on what interests them . That brings out the best in their work . In art it is important to learn to 'see' and transcribe it into paper . That is important in shapes as well as colors . I enjoy it when my students are able to learn these skills and use them to express their creativity in their own way.

She is fun and personable, which makes learning art engaging! She gives you guidance from her years of experience as an artist. She also gives you space to unleash your creativity if you wanted it. She possesses great energy. It is a wonderful time spent enjoying art with her.

Our kids have been taking art classes with Cecilia since September of last year. During the COVID restrictions we were all virtual with art classes over Zoom. We were apprehensive of conducting the class over Zoom for our Elementary school going kids, but surprisingly, they got comfortable with instructions over Zoom. The kids have really taken a liking to art since then and spend a lot of their free time creating new "masterpieces" on their own. The walls of our home have become their de facto art gallery and they show off their artwork to one and all! We have transitioned over to in-person classes and that has accelerated their learning even more. Our kids look forward to their weekly class with Cecilia.
