I have done art my entire life. I am a professional artist. I did my MFA at Towson University. I have two BA's from University of Maryland, Fine Art and Art History. I have learned to teach online when Covid 19 hit. Students that really want to learn are fantastic learners and to get them to achieve their goals is a fantastic challenge. It makes me feel satisfied each time I manage to help someone find their direction and help them create their art work and express their thoughts through art. I also teach French and Italian since those are my native languages, my mom spoke French while my dad spoke Italian and I lived in Brussels for a long time and later on in Italy before coming to the USA.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I believe that you first need to know what are the preferences of the student, and from there the teacher has to be able to adapt and find tools to make the student go in the right direction. In art it gets easier when the student is a visual learner.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been part time adjunct professor at Towson University and I can teach art online! I have been a teaching assistant for over 5 years at Towson University and University of Maryland. I also gave private classes to high school students and university students so that they could get better and pass their classes in French and Italian, those are my mother tongue languages.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I usually charge $40 per person per hour
How did you get started teaching?
I was lucky I was really good in fine art and I had been doing art professionally all my life so the transition was easy and inspiring, it came natural. Teaching French and Italian is also easy since I speak both these languages since I was born.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all ages students.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A student was a nine art major but loved art and after taking my class she desires to declare her major as being fine art.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you like the ideas of the teacher, chech what type of art they do, if they use more techniques then they are better off helping you find the right way for you to express yourself in art. Not everyone is a painter or a sculptor or a printmaker or a digital artist, the lines can cross each other.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Make sure your professor works in more than just one media. The more he/she knows the more you can learn. When it comes to languages the more you practice with a native speaker the faster you will learn.
