Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Getting in the gym and watch him or her warm up just shooting around, and how they maintain their balance. I'm also checking out how good or bad their ball handling skills are. After watching for a few minutes I will stop everything and sit the students down and ask them if they want to continue, hopefully they will say yes and that's when the real workout starts.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 15 years of coaching experience.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing system will be by the hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started in coaching while working for my City's Recreation department! Baseball, Basketball, and flag football was all the incentive I needed.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with all types of students! Some extremely talented and some not so skilled, but skill level didn't stop each and every one of them from learning.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Don't really know.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would advise them that if you're serious about getting better then give myself a chance to help you improve your game!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
The main question should be is this what I really want? And am I really ready?
