Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We adjust our training based off clients experience and needs to make sure they receive the most out of their training.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Most of our instructors are Paramedics currently working within the field of Emergency Medicine as well as all American Heart Association and American Red Cross certified instructors.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
We do keep our pricing very competitive and also offer large group and school discounts. Training costs vary depending on the class and are done on a per-person basis. Contact us for a group quote or visit our website for pricing.
How did you get started teaching?
All of our instructors began teaching due to a noticeable void in CPR education for the public that we saw needed to be filled.
What types of students have you worked with?
We work with a very diverse group of students from healthcare providers, childcare providers, factory workers to new parents, just to name a few.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Each year we donate CPR classes to the Boys and Girls club. This year was made a little more special because CPR was needed on one of their members, and it was done quickly and as we trained and the member survived due to the quick actions of one of our previous students which made us all very proud and reminded us the importance of what we do.
We are also large animal supporters and have founded an event called Bark Bash. Our first year for the event was 2019 and we raised almost $4,000 in 4 hours for 4 of the local animal welfare groups and had a blast doing it!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure the instructor is certified either through the AHA (preferably) or Red Cross and if they have real world experience in Emergency Medicine it really does makes for better instruction and a better learning experience.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Which class they need or are required if taken for an employer. Examples being CPR with or without First Aid, do you need BLS or ACLS for Healthcare Providers. Also, what other classes does the facility offer that may be taken for a discount same day. i.e., bloodborne pathogens, canine CPR, etc
