Having painted for some 15 years I have maintained a deep passion for painting that I believe to be tremendously infectious for any beginning painter.

I am currently represented by The Treadwell Gallery in Provincetown, Massachusetts.

I enjoy traveling to clients and teaching in an intimate one on one setting. I love to paint daily, share my experiences and above all teach.

I had a delightful time working with Emily with their my first lesson. As a budding artist, I didnt think that I would ever understand the first lesson and help with learning how to draw water trees and the sand. Emily made me understand perfectly. And by the end of our first session, I understand how to draw water sand and trees. I did two practice pieces of artwork after she left and I see the difference. What I recommend her? I most definitely would!

Emily is so patient with my 6 year old son. She has all kinds of teaching techniques to keep him interested and really encourages him to use his creativeness to express himself. If we miss a week of lessons, my son wants to know why he hasnt seen Emily in 7 days. Its so hard to find someone so compassionate and understanding of a 6 year old mind. Emily is an outstanding teacher who knows her stuff! I’m a nervous novice and after only 2 sessions with her, I’ve drawn a charcoal piece and painted a beautiful oil painting. My husband arrived home from a trip and thought I bought both pieces. Emily is just great. She’s super easy to be with and to relate to. She’s so inspiring and encouraging. My anxiety is no longer there and I’m looking forward to doing my next piece tomorrow. I’ve found a slice of joy!!! She’ll be in my life for life.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

To begin the process I like to develop a personal understanding of my student and their creative interests. This understanding is developed through our initial session that will take place wherever the student is most comfortable. Any past painting experience or skills will be discussed to develop a personalized lesson plan.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a CASA (center of advanced studies and art) graduate with roughly 15 years of independent fine art experience.
