About
Thank you for considering TheHoopersDojo as your home for player development!
Our mission is to use the game of basketball to teach athletes how to be students, leaders, and confident competitors in all they do. Our unique approach immerses your athlete in an environment designed to challenge and refine their skills through structured adversity and proven training techniques. In addition to this we have designed reflection worksheets and have 1-on-1 conversations with the students aimed at building their mental resilience.
With 18 years of experience with the game we have not only played collegiate and semi-pro basketball, but have also trained every level athlete from NBA pros to 3rd grade beginners. We understand how to cater to the specific needs of your student, whether they are striving to earn more playtime for minuets or leading as the star player.
It brings us great joy to be able to share this wisdom with the next generation of hoopers as we grow the game together. Join us on a transformative journey and elevate your game at TheHoopersDojo. We look forward to seeing you in the gym soon.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When meeting a new student I like to give them a worksheet that outlines age, grade, previous experience, and basketball goals. From there I schedule a time with them to come in and join a workout session at no cost so they can get a hands on expirience with training with PatientlyAmbitious.
If we both feel it is a good fit I then share my schedule with the parents and find the frequency at which they would like to train and their availability.

How did you get started teaching?
When I look back at my career I have always been teaching the game. 1 year before I traveled to Australia to play and coach I began interning with my then trainer Kai Wells who worked with many NBA G-League, Overseas, College, and high school stand outs. We also worked with the very developmental stages hosting various camps and clinics in the greater Atlanta area for the youth, ages 5 - 14.
What types of students have you worked with?
Ive worked with beginners age 5 all the way up to Pro level players who play in the NBA and G-League
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
My advice to any student looking to hire a basketball trainer is to first assess what your basketball goals are. As a mentor in this game I can only show you what it takes to reach the next level. It is up to the player to apply the lessons.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should first give themselves an honest assessment of their strengths and weakness as a player and person.
What skills are you best at?
what skills do you need to work on most?
How much time to I spend improving my game on my own?
How do I respond to constructive critisms?
