What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I prefer a hands on / one-on-one experience so my students gets all their questions answered. We can work along at the same time so you can get the process down. I like to get to know who I am teaching so I know the best way to teach you.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an associates in art and trained at ferris state university for a while. I also have been teaching for a company for 2 years doing guided paintings.
How did you get started teaching?
I was discovered. I kept attending art events until my potential was realized. The instructor took a look at my techniques and asked if I wanted a job.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with everyone from child to elder.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
My advice on hiring a teacher is to find one that you can connect with and has vibes to match your own. If theres a disconnect between teacher and student then what will you learn?
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
A student should think about what they want out of the experience they are signing up for. What do you want out of it and what are you expecting?
