Hi! I have been teaching lessons for over 20 years. I took piano lessons from 3rd to my senior year of high school. I have a music minor in elementary education from Central Michigan University. I am a retired teacher of 28 years teaching elementary students. I am a very laid back instructor. I know most students want to learn piano to later in life have enough skills to sit down and figure out a piece of music on their own for the pleasure of playing. I love kids and feel like music is an important part of life. Not only for enjoyment but for educational benefits. “Playing music gives the brain a multisensory “workout” that can strengthen memory, help us pay attention, and perhaps even improve reading ability.” Thank you and I look forward to helping you or your child develop a love for music!!!
