I love to see the joy in students eyes when they are able to play pieces they love!
I have taught in student's homes, in two different music studios in two different states, taught from my home, and also taught from a non-profit organization music studio.
I have been playing piano since I was age five, and had profesesional college piano training for three years. Overall I've been playing piano for over 30 years and am a professional arranger, songwriter and composer as well.
I have over 20 years of on the road touring travel and musical performance experience as well.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I review past piano lesson experience, if any, and discover if student needs to review or if I start teaching where the student left off. Sometimes it's a fresh start of beginning lessons new altogether which makes it even more fun!

3 Years College education in Piano Pedagogy.
20 Years Stage Performance Experience.
4 Years Church Music Director Experience.
10+ Years Private Piano Lesson Teaching Experience.

How did you get started teaching?
I love kids. I love music. Put them together and "Bam!"
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with students of all ages young and young at heart.
I also have special education and certified nurse assistant background and have worked with students that have special needs.
All students have different learning modalities than one another, so I consider each student's unique learning methods while teaching.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have music recitals up to twice a year.
My students love dressing fancy and performing at their music recitals.
They love to have their parents, loved ones and friends to share in their love of their learning of their instrument!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone you feel understands your goals and needs for what you want to accomplish in your music learning.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
How much practice is this going to take to reach the goals of where I want to be in my musical performance someday?
