Playing basketball is my second favorite thing to do and teaching basketball is number one. My belief is, if you want to see results physically the player must improve mentally more so. I believe in teaching not instructing. Patience is my number one skill. My passion for seeing improvements in players, is what drives me the most. I am hands on and thorough. Through hard, consistent work anybody can become a great contributor on the court and/or field. If you have the will I have the way!
I've been coaching basketball for the past 13 years. I've coached middle school girls teams, 8th grade boys and coed teams and all ages down to kindergarten (I also coach baseball and football). My teams at every level have won multiple league championships. My expertise is post-offense and defense and defense in general. But I am a student of the game and are well rounded at all facets of the game. If you have a question I have a educated answer/solution. These experiences have taught me to teach the game not yell/instruct. A hungry player is a powerful thing. I have the tools to get you where you want to be. If you have the will I have the way.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I like to get to know the student so we start off the relationship on a good note. Then based on age I like to stretch and warm up via a drill or two. Then depending on their goals go through simulation drills and then add a defender(s) (coach). Discuss and understand the concepts of the skill(s) being developed. Once the student is satisfied for the day a.k.a. then we plan for next time.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have continuously coached basketball and other sports, for the last 13 years. I am currently coaching multiple basketball teams in my hometown. I have and still work with players from the ages of 4-15 years of age and hope to coach high school sports starting this summer.
