About
I have been interested in all things photography for over 50 years. As an Instuctor of Photograhy at Schoolcraft College, I take great pride in seeing my students grow as photographers.
Many of them have told me that I have a great way about me as a teacher.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Our first meeting will be at a location that is convenient for both teacher and student, typically a coffee shop or similar. There we will find out where your skill level is and go over camera operations and settings. From there, it is off to do some shooting and begin applying the settings we learned earlier. I will be pointing photo opportunities and suggest composition for the images .
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard pricing is a $40.00 per hour with a minimum of 3 hours. I have found that 3 hours is just right for teaching and capturing images. This is also based on travel to locations with 25 miles Eastpointe. ( I-94 and I-696 area) . Additional travel , beyond is ½ my basic rate.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have taught photograhers from age 10 and up.Students have been that person who just purchased their first DSLR , all they to someone who started back in the film days. I belives anyone with an open mind can learn something new at any time.
