Easel And Wheel Art Space, LLC
About
We are a boutique art/ceramic studio unlike any other in Metro Detroit: A hip, comfy, creative space with small classes for quality attention. We offer short one-time workshops, formal classes and instruction, and private and semi-private parties!
The creative director, Carrie Armstrong, has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Crafts/Ceramics with a minor in Fine Art/Illustration, as well as a Masters of Art Education from the University of Florida. She has been a professional artist for over 25 years. We teach: Ceramics, Drawing, Painting and Crafts.
We have two buildings: One for adults, and one for children's classes and workshops. Our children's program is in our front building, a pop-up retail space called Eleven Shop Royal Oak. Our adult building offers private, group and public classes, courses, workshops and event rental! You can gather a group of friends up to 12 and rent our entire Easel & Wheel program for classes and to hang out.
*** Carrie also teaches a life coaching class around her Masters Thesis work: An identity rebuilding workshop composed from three years of study on how identity breakdown contributes a large part of what keeps us in trauma mode. This course helps the student to develop a narrative art practice that can help the survivor own and control their story, their identity and their power.
