While Michigan requires caregivers to be licensed, most licensing programs do not include holistic, Integrative Medicine modalities that are becoming current in American Medicine in the 21st century.
At Listening with the Heart, we teach holistic, integrative modalities to supplement and improve your caregiving practices. Some of these modalities include Reiki, Yoga, Meditation, Healthy Sleep and Dramwork, and the use of the Fine and Performing Arts as healing and healthful.
My PhD is in Human Potenial Development, my Masters is in Addition & Recovery and I am a commissioned Spiritual Director. As a professional, I am a member of the AIHM (Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine), the IASD (International Association for the Study of Dreams) and SDI (Spiritual Directors International).
Currently, I am on the planning committee of the AIHM+IASD Great Lakes Regional Conference for Health Care professionals to be held in Detroit in April, 2021.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Establish rapport, review their learning needs, create a schedule for achieving learning goals, discuss fees, then get started.
We also offer our programs and services to small groups of new students as well as previews in the community.
