About
Tired of learning from the same old method books, or playing through ode to joy for the 100th time? "For The Love of Music" offers a song based approach to learning. Neal has developed a lesson method that uses the song that you want to learn to increase your guitar skills in a fun way that keeps you wanting to play. Neal is an award winning guitarist with 4 Detroit Music Awards under his belt, and has spent over 15 years in the music industry performing, writing, and recording.
I enjoy being able to share my gift with others, as well as seeing the musical growth in my students as they achieve their goals. There is truely nothing better than helping others succeed in music and I take great pride in each and every one of my students. My lessons are both fun and educational. I strive to create a highly motivating learning environment and love seeing students unlock their potential while doing what they love.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start with my students by accessing their musical skill and the styles of music that they're interested in. From there we can establish what their goals are, and build a plan that helps them reach their goals while also playing songs and having fun with learning.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
30$ half hour session
45$ 45 minute session
150 for a month (includes 4 45 minute sessions)
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching over 9 years ago due to multiple requests from people that had seen me performing live to receive guitar lessons. I started driving around the area to give in home lessons to some of the people that had requested lessons. I quickly discovered a passion for teaching and decided to make a career of it.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels. I specialize in adapting my teaching method to each individual student. No two people are alike and the same goes for how people learn. In order to learn effectively students require a teaching method adapted to the way they learn best.
