Flute Lessons
About
hello, I am a high school senior in the top wind ensamble band at my school. I also am currently enrolled in a class where I student teach a Middle school band class daily. I accel on flute and piccolo but have knowlege of several other instruments. Sharing my musical knowlege with my students is very rewarding. My goal is to help my students succeed in their musical career through improving knowlege on their instrument and understanding of music theory.
I enjoy returning my knowlege and passion of music to my students.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
With new students I start by observing any previous musical knowlege they have and realizing their abilities as a player. Once I have an understanding of their prior knowlege I will add new subject material to help the student progress.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently a high school senior in wind ensemble. I began my musical career in middle school then further into high school. Now i am student teaching three grades of middle school band. I've also went through many judged audtions and festivals.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge my students $25 for an hour or $15 for a half hour. Cash or check.
How did you get started teaching?
I started student teaching through my teacher cadet program from the start of the school year of 2018. I am teaching and directing three grades of middle school band through a teacher cadet program course my high school operates.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with young children to early teens.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Advise for any student looking to hire a private music instructor is to
1) Hire someone who has a good understanding of your specific instrument.
2) Is always teaching and challenging your progression.(not just in it for the paycheck)
3) You as a student can communicate well with your instructor and can understand the teaching style that is being taught.
