What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Meet them and talk about music. Find out their interests, and the students goals. Talk about possibilities and hash out some short term goals to get started. Ask the student to display what they already know, if anything, and play a bit. meet their partner, parents, or family if any and review everything.

7 years of Percussion and drum lessons with George Dunn at Huber and Breese.
10 years of experience playing percussion in concert, symphonic, and jazz band.
20 years playing acoustic and electric guitar in local rock and jazz groups.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
It is important to find someone who has original ideas and inspires the student to love the instrument. this is more important even than expertise
